Ledgerline

About Us

We build the cash report finance teams shouldn’t have to

Ledgerline gives mid-market finance teams the treasury visibility that used to require a treasury department. Founded in 2021, with teams in London and Amsterdam.

Our Story

Built by people who ran the spreadsheet

Ledgerline started in 2021 with a spreadsheet. Our founders had spent years in group finance roles where the weekly cash position was assembled by one analyst, by hand, from a dozen bank portals and an export from the ledger — and where nobody could reproduce last month's version of it.

Five years on we are around 60 people across London and Amsterdam, working with finance teams at manufacturers, logistics groups, healthcare providers and multi-site retailers between roughly £20m and £500m of turnover. These are companies large enough to have real treasury risk and rarely large enough to have a treasury department.

We are deliberately narrow. Ledgerline does cash position, forecasting, covenant headroom and the reporting around them. We do not do accounting, and we do not try to replace your ERP. What we do instead is take the parts of the cash cycle that still run on manual effort and make them reproducible.

How We Work

Four things we hold to

  • 01

    A number you can trace

Every figure in a Ledgerline report links back to the bank statement line or ledger entry it came from. If a controller cannot explain where a number came from, the number is not finished.

  • 02

    Implementation is the product

Bank connectivity and chart-of-accounts mapping are where treasury projects fail. Our implementation team does that work with you rather than handing over a setup guide.

  • 03

    Narrow on purpose

Cash position, forecasting and covenant reporting. We would rather be the best tool for four jobs a finance team does every week than a mediocre platform for forty.

  • 04

    Boring where it matters

Treasury software should be predictable. We ship changes to calculation logic on a published schedule, with release notes written for controllers rather than engineers.

Our Team

The people behind the platform

Group controllers, treasury analysts and banking-integration engineers — most of the leadership team ran the cash cycle somewhere before they built software for it.
